surgery has been completed!

First of all, thanks to all of you for praying for me and my blood pressure to behave. Because it did! The surgery went off without a HITCh!! The RE dr. said that the dr. that did my tubal cut one side a lil shorter than he should have, so he's not sure if that side will close back up or not. So with that said, he is saying we only have a 50/50 chance of the reversal working.. BUt i told him, You know what, i had a 0% before, so... its gonna work for me!! He told me to keep that attitude, and I am! I feel really positive about this working for us! We have to wait about 2 months before we can try.. dang it!! ha ha! But, hubby and I both feel very positive about this, so that is a good thing! The Lord has moved many obstacles for this surgery to be completed, so I feel that it will work for us.

They weighed me that morning, and I'm pleased to say I have lost 70 pounds.. YAHOOOO!!! I was so excited!

I just thought I'd let you all know I am doing well... Yes i am at home, they don't keep you like they used to! very sore, but slowly walking that out!

Again, thanks for all your prayers.. Now lets just pray that it is successful!!!

Final Countdown!!

Well folks, I have my surgery on Wednesday! YAY!! I have maintained my weight loss and have lost a total of aaalllmmmmooossst 70 pounds.. LOL! I feel fantastic and I truly believe this is meant to be! I go to Mobile on Monday (July 6) for my pre-op and then wed. (July 8) is surgery at 7:30 in the a.m.. I'm super excited and so is my hubby. I will be sure to update you all on what is going on as soon as i feel up to getting back on the computer. I believe I will be in the hospital until Sat. but may be as early as Friday I find out for sure on Monday. Please keep me and my family in your prayers and thanks for all the prayers.. prayer is EXTREMELY POWERFUL and I appreciate all the support that I have had.

3 weeks left!

I only have 3 whole weks til I have my tubal reversal surgery! I am excited, scared, and whatever other emotions you can think of! My hubby is more excited than I am I think! and that is a WONDERFUL feeling!

On a different note, I got to do a couple of things I haven't done in a VERY LONG TIME.. matter of fact.. since I was a KID!! The first pic is of me on a slide, I do not remember getting on a slide since before 1992! This is a huge accompishment for me! The 2nd pic is of me on a rock climbing thing, I have never done this and it was SO MUCH FUN!! no telling what I'll do after I lose the other 60 that I want to lose!


Please everyone keep me in your prayers, and I will definately keep you all updated as to what is going on!

5 months and 60 POUNDS!!

I started my journey on January 2nd of 2009. It has been VERY rewarding, and I have learned to like (and dislike) a few things. But, things that I can accept. Here is a picture of what I looked like last July at my nephews birthday party. Yes it was at a pool, and NO I would NOT put a swimsuit on!

During the months of March and April, I did not lose a pound. AT ALL! But, I re-evaluated and got myself and picked my behind back up, and started back on progress. I looked at this as a positive, because I didn't gain anything either. Just held on to the plateau, as much as that is aggrivating.Once, I got back to the exercising, the weight started falling off again. =) yes, I was excited to see that I could lose more.

We took my kids to the coast, a couple of weeks ago, so they could play in some sand. I put a bathing suit on, and thought my hubby was gonna HIT THE FLOOR! He was in shock to say the least. I love to take pictures, and there was this really nice guy that came up and said, Ya'll get together, I'll take you a family picture, soyou will have one with you all together. It was a very nice thing for him to do, otherwise, I'd never had one. And this is the pic...


I have 31 days until my surgery! YAY! I am getting so excited and nervous like you would NEVER know. I want to lose around 16 more pounds before this, and I think I can do it. Because it is attainable! I'll take more though, if I lose more! I'm just keeping my head up and reaching for the stars!!

NEW ME!!

We went to church tonight for a still life of when Jesus was crucified on the cross. It was VERY MOVING. I sat there and thought about different things that are going on in my life, and decided I'd rededicate my life to my Lord. Yes, I cried, and cried, and cried... you get the picture.

I have been so stressed with my home and work life, that I would leave out my time for God. (which could be indeed the reason for the stress) But I vowed to Him that I would be the person that He needs me to be, so that I can help Him make my family what He wants it to be. I have 2 children that I have very involved in the church, so they have a GREAT background with God like I do, but some days I know they don't see Him through me, and that is something that I do not like. And with me wanting more children I know this is very important, and it helps that I married a family very involved in the church as well.

I had prayed for YEARS for finding me a man that would love me and my children and accept us for who we are. Little did I know, the mother of the man I married prayed for YEARS for her son to find a woman that would love him as she loves her husband, and have babies, She became an instant grandmother =)

Jamie, I love you and your family so much... you will never know how I feel... REALLY!! Thank you for loving me in ways that I never thought was humanly possible!

I'm gonna close on the note... be careful what you pray for as it can very well happen... Hence my surgery in July =)

Results from the Doctor Visit

First of all... THANKS to ALL of you for your PRAYERS!! They have been answered!! YAY!!

Ok.. first things first..

I have what I call the "white coat disease" LOL which makes my dang blood pressure shoot sky high at a dr visit and this one was no different than any other.. SOOO I have to get on blood pressure medicine.. yuck!

I have to start taking iron pills because I am anemic.. which I already knew.. just too stupid to take the things.. but as of yesterday I take 2 a day! =)

I have fibroids in my uterus... this is a good AND a bad thing! The bad thing is they are fibroids and are not helping my anemia at all... The good thing is my insurance covers the surgery for the removal of the fibroids (can't remember for the life of me what that is called) but while he is in there taking those out he will TIE MY TUBES BACK UP!!! YAY!!!

He said my weight loss is great and to keep it up, because it helps him while is doing the procedure (not as much fat to work around).

I go back this Friday to do a CBC and pelvic exam to find out exactly how many fibroids I have and all that good stuff..

Again, thanks for all the prayers, you all do not know how much it means to me that I have my prayers answered..

We are hoping for a June or July surgery, but like Dr. K says "we'll cross that bridge when we get there"

I have lost a total of 40 pounds and continuing to keep it going..
